The Rapture

The Rapture
1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 Do not treat prophecies with contempt. But examine all things;; hold fast to what is good. Stay away from every form of evil. NET.

There are two sides to ever coin and there are two views when it comes to the Rapture Theory: those who believe and those who don’t. Now I am of the camp, and this is after studying and read what I could on the subject, that believes that the ‘Rapture’ is a false teaching; and yes I do have verse that can back this up.  The reason why I wanted to post about this is because I have started an Art Journal Bible Challenge. However; instead of going from a verse here and a verse there, we are studying a whole book at a time. Well in my first part of Romans, which will be posted on my blog to the public May 1st, if you would like to join sooner, please come join us in our Facebook Group Books of the Bible Art Challenge.

I am not here to teach, only to share with you what God has led me to share with you. Any post that I make in reference to my Bible Studies is what I have learned in my personal journey to get to know my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ better. It is my personal reflection, not what I think you should believe. God leads us in different paths; however, if it all leads to Him in the end that is what matters most. Have an open heart and an open mind to what God is telling you and you will learn more than you could have ever dreamed.

Ok so why do I view the ‘Rapture’ as a false teaching and why I feel we have been misled all our lives? I will only give you the verses here, because I want you to read and study this on your own, and not just take my word for it. Have an open heart and mind and trust God to lead you to the truth.
Ok if one reads Titus 2:13 & Amos 5:18, many Christian believe these are two different events; however, they are not. They are talking about the same day, the day our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ returns to Earth.

Read the parable of the Wheat and the Weeds, told by Jesus himself, Matthew 13:24-30, and then his explanation can be found in 13:38-40. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus does tell us he will be with us always, and then in John 6:40 he states that anyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life and he will raise us up on the last day.”  Now you do notice he does say ‘on the last day’, not before.

I’m going to give you a few sites to take a look at and read, and you should be able to get a better understanding of how the ‘Rapture Theory’ came about.
TheOrigin of the Rapture False Doctrine – John Nelson Darby 1830 A.D. This one tells of how the Rapture origins came about. Not light reading; however, very well worth reading.

The EndTimes Prophecy – The Rapture Theory: Not only does it give you scripture to back up these claims, they also offer further reading through out the post. (Suggestion, click on the links after you have read the full post, because it takes you away from the page you are reading.)

Amazing Facts -- The Secret Rapture This site has loads of verse (just hover your mouse over them and they should appear in a small box for you to read.), as well as the others that you can look up and read for yourself

The Second Coming ofChrist:  This one talks about the 1000 year reign and the Second coming.– The Rapture Doctrine Fact or Fiction: He goes in to great detail as well.

Tomorrows World: Not only do they have great content online, but they also offer a free monthly magazine and books that you can order from them. This site I highly recommend if you truly want to study God’s word. I have even learned the difference between Holy Days and Holidays ( a must read for those who want to know what Holy Days we should be celebrating) They even offer a great study course that you can take online or have it mailed to your home.

I prayer that as you read these, you will also do your own studies into the scriptures. That is why I started this post with the verse I did. Just because we are Children of God and we have His assurance that we have eternal life, does not mean we are not to read and study His word.

May God Bless and Keep you always.
