The Tale of Two Christians

The Tale of Two Christians

For a person is not a Jew who is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the spirit, not by the written code. Such a person's praise is not from other people, but from God.
Romans 2:28-29

So why am I going to tell you a tale of two Christians. Well it will explain the above verses and give you a glimpse as to what a true Christian should be and how one should not be. We must remember that God knows our hearts.

So I used to work at this place many years ago, and working there were two other men, one in the office and the other in the plant. Both of these men claimed to be Christians; however, only one you could tell truly walked hand in hand with God.
The first man, who worked in the office, talked about how he went to church and would even invite us to some of the functions that they would have there. There were also times that him and I would have conversations about God. However, when he was not talking about church and would be sitting with others from the office, his whole vibe would change. He would crack vulgar joke, make off handed comments about other and not really act like the Christian he said he was.
The second man, as we know by now, worked in the plant part of the factor. We would have long talks about God, about the church he was going to and the different functions they would have. He on the other hand, he would still talk the same way to anyone else that was around. Never heard him speak in a vulgar manner, and even found it offensive if someone spoke to him or anyone else in that manner.
So my question to you, if you were to meet either one of these men and you didn’t know about God or Jesus, who would you trust to lead you down the correct path?
Now I know it’s not my place to judge anyone, for I am a sinner just like everyone else. However, the one difference I know in me, Christ is truly turning me into the second man. I have notice a big change in myself and it’s all because of Jesus. God knows what lies in our hearts and we truly must strive to be the man who worked in the plant. As long as we surrender our all to Jesus, he and the Holy Spirit will change us from the inside out. We don’t need to be perfect, as a matter of fact there is no way for us to be perfect, when we go to Him and ask for his forgiveness and surrender our all to him. He wants us just the way we are, so that he can change us into the person we are meant to be. Give your all to Christ and you and others will see the change. As you grow and trust in God, you will become the child he wants you to be.

Pray every chance you get, read your Bible everyday and trust, always Trust in God.
